PureFection (2024)

PureFection (2024)—also referred to as Time & Space—is a large-scale, custom lenticular artwork by John DeTemple that transforms movement and perception into a dynamic visual experience. Using layered images beneath a precision lenticular lens, the work shifts as the viewer moves—creating the impression of animation without screens or electronics. The effect is immersive, charged, and impossible to view passively, giving the piece a presence that commands attention in any space.

The lenticular medium aligns naturally with John DeTemple’s Emmy Award–winning background in production, design, and animation, where timing, rhythm, and visual impact are central. By translating motion into a physical format, he brings the language of animation into fine art, producing a bold, contemporary statement that embodies energy rather than merely depicting it.
